Voices of the Future - School Summit 2025
On July 16th, 2025, Opportunities Unlock held a remarkable School Summit at Anointed Group of Schools, Ubogo, Udu LGA, Delta State, Nigeria. The event brought together students from three schools:

📌 Anointed Group of Schools
📌 Ujevwu Secondary School
With over 126 students in attendance, the summit created a platform for young minds to reflect, reconnect with their dreams, and learn from voices who have walked the journey.
The theme, “𝗩𝗼𝗶𝗰𝗲𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗙𝘂𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲: 𝒪𝓌𝓃𝒾𝓃𝑔 𝒴𝑜𝓊𝓇 𝒲𝑜𝓇𝓉𝒽, 𝐹𝒾𝓃𝒹𝒾𝓃𝑔 𝒴𝑜𝓊𝓇 𝒲𝒶𝓎,” inspired critical conversations around:
- Peer Pressure, Social Media & Self-Worth: Learning to stay grounded in a noisy world.
- The Teacher is Your Friend: How students can leverage mentorship early.
- Your Dreams Are Valid: Setting realistic career goals and navigating the right path
We also celebrated our students by giving out gift items, reminding them that every step forward, no matter how small, deserves recognition.
Skills Accelerator Pragram (SAP) in Partnership with RLABS Nigeria
The Skills Accelerator Program (SAP) was a digital skills initiative delivered through a partnership between Opportunities Unlock and RLabs Nigeria, aimed at equipping 100 Nigerian youths with in-demand, future-ready digital skills.
Through this programme, selected participants received practical training in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Data Science, and Data Analytics, enabling them to build relevant competencies for today’s digital economy.
SAP went beyond training by providing structured mentorship, regular check-ins, and a supportive learning community, ensuring participants were guided throughout their learning journey and positioned for real career opportunities.

Fully Funded Graduate Opportunities for Master’s & PhD
In 2025, we hosted large-scale webinars focused on fully funded graduate opportunities, demystifying access to Master’s and PhD programmes at top global universities.
The webinar aimed to equip young Africans with practical knowledge on how to secure fully funded Master’s and PhD scholarships. It featured past and current scholars who shared their experiences, tips, and strategies for success.

Breaking Into AI – Opportunities for Young Africans
Recognising the growing importance of AI skills, Opportunities Unlock partnered with Mastercard Foundation Baobab to deliver a specialised Breaking Into AI webinar and training pathway.
We had over 314 registered participants and an amazing live audience that engaged deeply, asked insightful questions, and showed strong enthusiasm for exploring opportunities in Artificial Intelligence. The energy in the session reflected just how eager young Africans are to shape the future with AI.
We also appreciate our founder Esther Abel for leading this initiative, and our amazing team members who worked tirelessly behind the scenes to ensure everything went smoothly.

Skill Up The Girl Child Bootcamp - 2022
The Skill Up the Girl Child Bootcamp was a targeted empowerment programme designed to equip young girls and women with essential digital, career, and life skills, while addressing the gender-specific barriers that limit access to education and opportunity.
Delivered in 2022, the bootcamp focused on building participants’ confidence, employability, and readiness for the future of work. Through structured training sessions and mentorship, the programme supported girls in developing practical skills and a strong sense of self-belief.
The initiative successfully empowered over 60 participants across three African countries, creating a safe and inclusive learning environment where young women could grow, connect, and gain exposure to new possibilities.
